FAQ’s

Please see a list of some of our most frequently asked questions.

1. How long has ASM been providing Remote Security and Monitoring services?

ASM have been providing monitoring services since 2008.

2. Can you provide your services in any region of the UK?

Although based in Manchester, we can deliver remote monitoring services to any site in the UK, and if necessary overseas. All that is required is a method of connection between the monitored site and the ASM monitoring centre. We have direct relationships with police forces around the country so our services and our capability is not region specific.

3. How do you compare price-wise to your competitors?

ASM are not the cheapest monitoring service provider available, but nor do we want to be. To be the cheapest you have to make compromises on staff quality and service. In the long run this is detrimental to both our customers the ASM business as a whole. The quality of service we offer builds trust, confidence and loyalty from our customers – many of whom have fallen victim to ‘cheap’ providers in the past.

4. What if I want to see your Monitoring Centre?

This is absolutely fine. Providing you can give 24 hours’ notice and bring proof of ID then we would be proud to show you the heartbeat of our operations. Our Monitoring Centre is one of the largest in the UK and we’d love to give you a tour.

5. I’m interested in your services can I arrange to talk to someone at ASM?

No problem. Our representatives and advisors would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss any aspect of your requirements and to answer any questions you may have. Simply contact our sales team – sales@asmuk.net and we’ll get in touch to arrange a call or appointment.

6. I’m not sure what I need – can you advise?

This is often the case. Due to our vast experience in the monitoring and security arenas we’ll be able to understand your basic requirements and recommend or develop the relevant solution for you or your business.

7. Can you recommend an installer in my area?

ASM work with a network of providers throughout the UK who are all familiar with the services we offer. Crucially, all of our ‘ASM Approved’ installers share our commitment to quality and ongoing customer service.

8. What makes you different from other Remote Security Monitoring providers?

ASM pride ourselves on the standard of service we offer. We become familiar with each and every site we operate which means we can deliver a more effective service. When you work with us you are not buying an off the shelf product – sure, they are all fairly similar services, but we work with each customer a little differently depending on their type of site, nature of their business and potential nature of any threats. The operators we employ go through a comprehensive training programme and the way we look after their welfare means our operators are loyal to us and the very best in the industry.

9. Do you have industry accreditations?

Our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and Remote Video Response Centre (RVRC) operates to the BS5979 (2007 revision) Category II, BS8418 and ISO9001.

10. How do I move from my current monitoring provider?

It’s a lot simpler than you might think. A lot will depend on the type of monitoring you currently receive from your current provider, but it’s rarely a complicated process and we deal with it every day. The best thing to do is to contact sales@asmuk.net and have a chat with one of our consultants.
